Training Systems Blog 1

It currently is the second day of training systems and we're installing our virtual machines. I'd like to start by talking about the initial presentation we reviewed on day 1.

The presentation on day 1 did a good job of outlining the course's content and overview of the entire class. I think its really neat that we are going to be developing a workshop for teachers to help educate them and us in two different aspects.

Training and learning are two completely different aspects that are intertwined with eachother. Training is the instructors point of view for giving knowledge and skills to the students who are learning.

Learning is the act of attaining the knowledge and skills.

This introduction presentation is a great start up for the class and gets the brain working.

  1. Anthony,

Good beginning post. Thanks for sharing your definitions for training and learning. Is it possible for the teacher or training to learn too?

I agree, the presentation gave us clear understanding of what we will be getting into for this class. I'm excited actually, in the sense its an experience that will give us window into what some of us may be doing in our future. I think it is very possible for the teacher and trainer to learn. the teacher and learner can learn what worked and what didn't, as well learn directly from those who are being trained.
